Building math confidence – Portland Math Tutor, LLC

My daughter had been doing Kumon for a few years and was finding it hard to stay motivated. We decided to try a tutor and found Mr. Drew Laiche, of Portland Math Tutor. Wow! What a great change in her attitude and interest in math. I'm 100% confident she will be set for the challenges of high school math and physics. Great teacher and great business. I recommend Mr. Laiche exponentially!

Drew was great. Very communicative and clear in scheduling and rates. His approach during sessions was wonderful, leading the student to find solutions to understanding issues with sn encouraging outlook.

After calling around a few places for a math tutor, Drew at Portland Math Tutoring was quick to respond with availability, prices & a thorough explanation as to what math tutoring will accomplish . With online schooling due to the pandemic, math started to be a struggle for our new middle-schooler. As parents, we had tried teaching to him ourselves, but essentially could not explain or even begin to understand the new Common Core math to help our son understand. After the first online session with Drew, our son felt very comfortable, because Drew was able to explain and connect with him about math. It's been a few months & our son is feeling confident in math & looks forward to his online sessions. Drew is a professional with clear communication & I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a math tutor.

My son started his private lessons with Drew in August 2020 with a low B bordering on C at the end of his 7th grade. Within 5 months, he has made significant improvement in his math with a solid B+/A. He has gained more confidence and interest in math. Mr. Laiche is an incredible math tutor. He's not only helped our son with pre-calculus, but now our daughter with geometry. He's patient, approachable and takes the time to explain concepts in a way that is easier to absorb than in the classroom with multiple students and limited time. We highly recommend.

We reached out to Drew for help getting our daughter through pre-calculus and we couldn't be happier with the results. He is extremely patient and met her where she was at which helped her succeed in getting caught up and staying there! Our only regret is that we didn't do it sooner!
