One of the greatest math tutors in Portland and very flexible with scheduling and times! He is a very good one on one tutor and really prepares students for success in whatever math their in. He was able to help me develop math skills such as basic algebra, problem skill techniques, writing each step and problem so I could follow along with my own work, and he helped build confidence in knowing how to do different variations of problems. Overall I think he can help your son/daughter in a way to develop good habits for the future! I worked with Drew from middle school and now I'm going into AP calculus next year. Great tutor!

After calling around a few places for a math tutor, Drew at Portland Math Tutoring was quick to respond with availability, prices & a thorough explanation as to what math tutoring will accomplish . With online schooling due to the pandemic, math started to be a struggle for our new middle-schooler. As parents, we had tried teaching to him ourselves, but essentially could not explain or even begin to understand the new Common Core math to help our son understand. After the first online session with Drew, our son felt very comfortable, because Drew was able to explain and connect with him about math. It's been a few months & our son is feeling confident in math & looks forward to his online sessions. Drew worked with my 13 year old daughter throughout the summer. This greatly improved her confidence and her aptitude. She had been taking algebra in 8th grade, during her sessions they dove into concepts she was struggling with working ahead to geometry. Definitely a very logical approach to tutoring, and my daughter listened to Drew, much more than me! I feel like he showed a great deal of patience, overall was a positive experience and worth the price.

Drew was an awesome summer math tutor for my Entering-2nd grade daughter who needed some additional help reviewing 1st grade number line and addition work!

Mr. Laiche tutored our 8th grade daughter along with two friends for about 6 months to give her and them better support than they were able to get through their own math class. These comments also reflect her input. Mr. Laiche was responsive, kind, and able to zero in immediately on their needs. He was good at delivering feedback in a constructive way and allowed room for questions. He provided a good balance of promoting the kids to figure things out independently but with good instruction. He engaged the kids personably but with the right mix that focused mostly on math. We highly recommend him! They are definitely ready for high school math because of him!!
