My son was falling behind in math in this year’s CDL format. He was frustrated and embarrassed. He wasn’t too happy getting math tutoring from mom. Drew stepped in once a week for the past 3 months and my son is enjoying math again! He’s doing well and feeling confident. Keeping Drew on board as a math tutor is a no brainer.

My son started his private lessons with Drew in August 2020 with a low B bordering on C at the end of his 7th grade. Within 5 months, he has made significant improvement in his math with a solid B+/A. He has gained more confidence and interest in math. Drew is very patient and communicates very well with my son. He is currently tutoring him in compacted 7th grade math. My son was having a hard time learning from his teacher and was worried he should be in a different class, but within a few lessons with Drew he was up to speed and maintaining a minimum of a B grade.

After calling around a few places for a math tutor, Drew at Portland Math Tutoring was quick to respond with availability, prices & a thorough explanation as to what math tutoring will accomplish . With online schooling due to the pandemic, math started to be a struggle for our new middle-schooler. As parents, we had tried teaching to him ourselves, but essentially could not explain or even begin to understand the new Common Core math to help our son understand. After the first online session with Drew, our son felt very comfortable, because Drew was able to explain and connect with him about math. It's been a few months & our son is feeling confident in math & looks forward to his online sessions. Drew is a professional with clear communication & I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a math tutor.

Drew has been great working with both of our sons for the last year & has been wonderful, patient & creative, especially with navigating distance tutoring. He is adaptable to school curriculum as well as other learning platforms. My daughter had been doing Kumon for a few years and was finding it hard to stay motivated. We decided to try a tutor and found Mr. Drew Laiche, of Portland Math Tutor. Wow! What a great change in her attitude and interest in math. I'm 100% confident she will be set for the challenges of high school math and physics. Great teacher and great business. I recommend Mr. Laiche exponentially!

My child’s math confidence has improved beyond my expectations this school year working with Mr. Laiche. He’s helped undo years of frustrations and now we see smiles when it comes to math. Mr. Laiche is nice and easy to work with. He taught me a lot during my pre-calculus semester. His online whiteboards are useful because you can reference past work and he is always available for questions, even during non-tutoring hours. I highly recommend!
