Drew has worked with our sixth grade son over the past year and has been wonderful--patient and warm and funny. My son is a bit slow to warm up and shy but after each session wraps up, he seems excited about what they covered and where he's at. Their working together has no doubt made a significant difference in terms of where my son's mathematical understanding is at now--we're grateful we found Drew!

Our 7th grader has been lucky to have Drew as our math tutor for the past year. Aside from the obvious and measurable improvement in grades, we have also noted an increase in confidence and overall interest in math. He now looks forward to his tutoring sessions and has enjoyed the ability to ask questions at his own pace and learning style.

After calling around a few places for a math tutor, Drew at Portland Math Tutoring was quick to respond with availability, prices & a thorough explanation as to what math tutoring will accomplish . With online schooling due to the pandemic, math started to be a struggle for our new middle-schooler. As parents, we had tried teaching to him ourselves, but essentially could not explain or even begin to understand the new Common Core math to help our son understand. After the first online session with Drew, our son felt very comfortable, because Drew was able to explain and connect with him about math. It's been a few months & our son is feeling confident in math & looks forward to his online sessions. Drew is a professional with clear communication & I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a math tutor.

Drew is an amazing tutor, our son Ali has been struggling with Math ever since elementary school, we had worked with another tutor but not much changed with his challenges. I found Drew online, he sounded very professional and that was already confirmed when he showed up for the first session. We started seeing improvement in Ali after a month already, he started building confidence in math and was able to make connections which he was unable before. Mr. Laiche is an incredible math tutor. He's not only helped our son with pre-calculus, but now our daughter with geometry. He's patient, approachable and takes the time to explain concepts in a way that is easier to absorb than in the classroom with multiple students and limited time. We highly recommend.

My child’s math confidence has improved beyond my expectations this school year working with Mr. Laiche. He’s helped undo years of frustrations and now we see smiles when it comes to math. Mr. Laiche is patient and clear in his explanations of math with our middle school child who will not take math help from parents. We appreciate his familiarity with the PPS math curriculum. He is able to answer questions from during the week when topics are not covered clearly in our child's classroom instruction and helps to work ahead when possible.

Drew tutors both of my daughters who are at different math levels (Junior, Pre-Calc and 8th grade, Compacted math). He flawlessly transitions from one to the other. Both of my daughters have said he has been a huge help and they really enjoy working with him. We appreciate that he can come to the house and scheduling has been easy. My girls would highly recommend him!
