Hopefully, your student has had a successful year in their math class. And now, summer is right around the corner. Students are anxiously awaiting the end of the school year, however, the summer months are not ideal if we consider the skills lost during the break. Pro-Tip: Hire a licensed Math Teacher to give your student an advantage.
Ideally, students would enter subsequent school years with all or most of the skills that had been built up over the previous school year — regretfully, this is not the case. During the months of summer break students naturally forget much of the content necessary to reach their full potential in the Fall.
With just a little bit of study during June/July/August, students can hit the ground running in September. Just a one hour session per week can make the difference between nights of frustration with homework and feelings of success that can cascade throughout the school year.
During our weekly tutoring sessions, I provide students with a complete curriculum aligned with the Math Standards of the grade/class that they will be starting in the Fall. I provide students with homework assignments that get graded weekly and assessments to gauge students’ mastery before moving on to new material.
For my rate of $45/hr your student receives Math instruction from a licensed math teacher along with weekly assignments, formative and summative assessments.
