My son is a freshman at Lincoln high school and is taking two advanced math courses. With the current restrictions on face-to-face or online teaching time we thought we would try a tutor. Mr. Laiche and his services are a great resource. He is very easy to work with and Andrew really enjoys his teaching style. We would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs a little additional teaching for any reason.

My son was falling behind in math in this year’s CDL format. He was frustrated and embarrassed. He wasn’t too happy getting math tutoring from mom. Drew stepped in once a week for the past 3 months and my son is enjoying math again! He’s doing well and feeling confident. Keeping Drew on board as a math tutor is a no brainer.

Mr. Laiche tutored our 8th grade daughter along with two friends for about 6 months to give her and them better support than they were able to get through their own math class. These comments also reflect her input. Mr. Laiche was responsive, kind, and able to zero in immediately on their needs. He was good at delivering feedback in a constructive way and allowed room for questions. He provided a good balance of promoting the kids to figure things out independently but with good instruction. He engaged the kids personably but with the right mix that focused mostly on math. We highly recommend him! They are definitely ready for high school math because of him!!

Drew has patiently worked with my child almost weekly since 2019 going into 8th grade and when she was in online school during the pandemic. He has provided consistent support for high school math, helping with review of material as well as preparation for tests and exams. I highly recommend the Portland Math Tutor.

Mr. Laiche is nice and easy to work with. He taught me a lot during my pre-calculus semester. His online whiteboards are useful because you can reference past work and he is always available for questions, even during non-tutoring hours. I highly recommend!

My daughter had been doing Kumon for a few years and was finding it hard to stay motivated. We decided to try a tutor and found Mr. Drew Laiche, of Portland Math Tutor. Wow! What a great change in her attitude and interest in math. I'm 100% confident she will be set for the challenges of high school math and physics. Great teacher and great business. Mr. Laiche is patient and clear in his explanations of math with our middle school child who will not take math help from parents. We appreciate his familiarity with the PPS math curriculum. He is able to answer questions from during the week when topics are not covered clearly in our child's classroom instruction and helps to work ahead when possible.

Drew has worked with our sixth grade son over the past year and has been wonderful--patient and warm and funny. My son is a bit slow to warm up and shy but after each session wraps up, he seems excited about what they covered and where he's at. Their working together has no doubt made a significant difference in terms of where my son's mathematical understanding is at now--we're grateful we found Drew!
