Mr Laiche has been tutoring our daughter started in mid of her 8th grade and now she is a Freshman in High School. Her grade had improved significantly when she finished the 8th grade year. My daughter is taking Advanced Algebra 3-4 Honors. She was struggling and her grade dropped to a D. Mr. Laiche provided her exceptional guidance and just had her final and received a final grade of B. We believe continued Tutoring should elevate her grade further. We highly recommend Mr. Laiche for math tutoring.

Mr. Laiche is an incredible math tutor. He's not only helped our son with pre-calculus, but now our daughter with geometry. He's patient, approachable and takes the time to explain concepts in a way that is easier to absorb than in the classroom with multiple students and limited time. We highly recommend.

One of the greatest math tutors in Portland and very flexible with scheduling and times! He is a very good one on one tutor and really prepares students for success in whatever math their in. He was able to help me develop math skills such as basic algebra, problem skill techniques, writing each step and problem so I could follow along with my own work, and he helped build confidence in knowing how to do different variations of problems. Overall I think he can help your son/daughter in a way to develop good habits for the future! I worked with Drew from middle school and now I'm going into AP calculus next year. Great tutor!

Our 7th grader has been lucky to have Drew as our math tutor for the past year. Aside from the obvious and measurable improvement in grades, we have also noted an increase in confidence and overall interest in math. He now looks forward to his tutoring sessions and has enjoyed the ability to ask questions at his own pace and learning style.

Drew has worked with our sixth grade son over the past year and has been wonderful--patient and warm and funny. My son is a bit slow to warm up and shy but after each session wraps up, he seems excited about what they covered and where he's at. Drew has patiently worked with my child almost weekly since 2019 going into 8th grade and when she was in online school during the pandemic. After calling around a few places for a math tutor, Drew at Portland Math Tutoring was quick to respond with availability, prices & a thorough explanation as to what math tutoring will accomplish . With online schooling due to the pandemic, math started to be a struggle for our new middle-schooler. As parents, we had tried teaching to him ourselves, but essentially could not explain or even begin to understand the new Common Core math to help our son understand. After the first online session with Drew, our son felt very comfortable, because Drew was able to explain and connect with him about math. It's been a few months & our son is feeling confident in math & looks forward to his online sessions. Drew is a professional with clear communication & I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a math tutor.
