Eugene Math Circle
The Eugene Math Circle is an after-school program hosted by the University of Oregon’s Department of Mathematics, designed for students in grades 2 through 12 who are passionate about mathematics. Meeting on Wednesday and Thursday evenings during the academic year, the program offers five distinct sessions tailored to different age groups. Spice Science
SPICE (Science Program to Inspire Creativity and Excellence) is a University of Oregon-supported initiative aimed at engaging young women in science through hands-on experimentation. The program offers three distinct summer camps for girls entering 6th to 8th grades:
- Rising 6th Graders: More than Meets the Eye: Science Discovery
- Rising 7th Graders: Whodunit? Forensic Investigation
- Rising 8th Graders: Build It! Maker Camp
Each camp provides an immersive experience in scientific exploration beyond the standard curriculum. Spice Science does have scholarships available based on need. The camps are held on the University of Oregon campus, offering young scientists an opportunity to explore various scientific disciplines in a supportive and engaging environment.
Code Ninjas
Code Ninjas in Eugene offers engaging coding programs for children aged 5 to 14, teaching skills like coding and critical thinking through game-based learning.
