We’ve seen huge progress in our daughter (8th grade, PPS) since joining up with Drew! We transitioned from another tutor and noticed an immediate difference in her attitude and confidence.

The online tutoring setup has been a great fit, even after returning to in-person classes. It’s also been super convenient for our busy schedule, even taking tutoring sessions while traveling.

Drew follows the same methods as the classroom to keep things consistent… takes a holistic approach to best support her learning style/needs… identifies learning gaps and goes back to (re)build that foundation… strikes the right balance of kindness, patience, fun, and accountability… and has been extremely flexible and reliable with us as parents.

Drew has patiently worked with my child almost weekly since 2019 going into 8th grade and when she was in online school during the pandemic. He has provided consistent support for high school math, helping with review of material as well as preparation for tests and exams. I highly recommend the Portland Math Tutor.

Drew worked with my 13 year old daughter throughout the summer. This greatly improved her confidence and her aptitude. She had been taking algebra in 8th grade, during her sessions they dove into concepts she was struggling with working ahead to geometry. Definitely a very logical approach to tutoring, and my daughter listened to Drew, much more than me! I feel like he showed a great deal of patience, overall was a positive experience and worth the price.

Drew has been great working with both of our sons for the last year & has been wonderful, patient & creative, especially with navigating distance tutoring. He is adaptable to school curriculum as well as other learning platforms. Our 7th grader has been lucky to have Drew as our math tutor for the past year. Aside from the obvious and measurable improvement in grades, we have also noted an increase in confidence and overall interest in math. He now looks forward to his tutoring sessions and has enjoyed the ability to ask questions at his own pace and learning style.

My child’s math confidence has improved beyond my expectations this school year working with Mr. Laiche. He’s helped undo years of frustrations and now we see smiles when it comes to math. Mr. Laiche has done a great job of assessing where there were gaps to fill in as well as reinforcing new concepts this school year.

Thank you Drew! We have had a wonderful experience with Drew as two of my daughters' (7th and 12th grade) math tutor for a year now. He is always professional, on time, provides content and knows how to motivate my girls to do better.
He was able to pivot to an online platform almost instantly when the pandemic stopped our ability to meet in person and we appreciate his efforts and success with that change.
My girls have seen amazing results from their weekly meetings with Drew and they have continued to increase their individual abilities in math and in the language of math. Our daughter is in 7th grade and taking Compacted Math via distance learning within PPS. Having Mr. Laiche as a tutor has helped tremendously and her confidence in math has increased as a direct result of Mr. Laiche’s guidance and explanations during the tutoring sessions. Excellent value for your time and money. We plan to continue her tutoring once in-person school resumes. Highly recommend!
